Tardana is a special grape variety because it ripens later than red varieties. It is one of those Spanish varietals that fell out of favor, probably due to the fact that it riskily ripens late, and as a result is nearly extinct in the region. As it´s harvested so late, near November, it´s the grape that receives more solar hours per year than any other grape. These particular Tardana vines grow in starkly white limestone soils located near the village of Cilanco (in Villatoya, Albacete), along the Cabriel river. The particular microclimate is caused by the steep protective enclave of the site, allowing this demanding varietal to reach full maturity, even quite late in the year.

Bright pale yellow color. The character of the white flower predominates, highlighting the pear in nose. In mouth is full bodied with a good balance and pleasant passage that invites to drink. Gastronomy: Ideal to enjoy with friends, oriental food, seafood, grilled fish and nice conversations.
